By using NHS login, communication with your GP and the order process is much more efficient.

You can also choose to create an account using your email or Google account. Simply follow the onscreen instructions in the app.
Add my medicines?
- Select the Prescriptions tab at the bottom of the app and select Add to add a new medicine.
- Start typing the name of your medication in the search box and click the medicine you need from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your medicine listed, you can add it manually.
- Choose the form of medicine you need (tablet, cream, etc), and how frequently you order this medicine and select Add medicine.
- Repeat the process for any other medication you require by clicking Add medicine, or select Continue to go to the next step.
To remove a medicine:
- Go to the Prescriptions tab and choose the medicine you want to delete, and tap Delete
- When the confirmation pop-up appears, select Yes to confirm deletion.
Add my personal details?
Add your personal details so we can process your prescriptions.
- Once you’ve added your medicines, enter your personal details including your home address and your GP surgery.
- If you have an NHS exemption, select the one that applies to you.Check if you have an NHS exemption here
- Select Free local delivery to get your prescriptions delivered to your registered home address. You can also add addresses such as your work, if it’s more convenient for you.Please note that prescriptions are not available to be collected from Smarta Healthcare.
- You can update and amend your personal details, including your delivery address by selecting the Profile tab at the bottom of the app.
Order my next prescription now?
If you need to order your first prescription immediately:
- After filling in your medicine and personal details – select Place your order.
- Confirm the medication you’d like.
- Check your details are correct, and click the Place Order button.
A request will be sent to your GP for approval, and you will be notified once it’s been accepted. You can track the prescription order in the app.
Please note it can take up to 5 working days to process and deliver your order.
Schedule my next prescription order?
Schedule your next prescription order if you currently have more than 10 days of medicine left.
- Select Schedules on the bottom tab, and click Place Order.
- Choose the medicine you need and select the date you need your prescription ready for.
- Check your details are correct, and click the Schedule Order button.
A request will be sent to your GP for approval 7 days in advance, and you will be updated on your order status.
Set my medicine reminders?
Once your medicines have been added to the system:
- Head to the Prescriptions tab at the bottom of the app.
- Find the medicine you would like to create an alarm for, and select Setup a medicine reminder.
- On the Medicine Details page select the Set Reminders grey box.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and add the details about how to take this medicine, then select Next.
- Check the details are correct, then select Set Alarm
To adjust the medicine reminders:
- Go to the Prescriptions tab and select the medicine you wish to update.
- Select the Set Reminders grey box and adjust any details.
- Tap Next, then select Set Alarm.
Add a dependent?
To add a dependant:
- Go to the Profile tab in the
bottom-right corner of the app. - Tap Add a dependant and fill
out their profile information. - Enter their personal details
(NHS number is optional). Tap
Next. - Confirm that you have the
dependent’s consent for ordering
and agree that they will use
Smarta Healthcare.Please note: Dependants must use
the same nominated pharmacy
(Smarta Healthcare) as the
primary account holder. - Once you’ve checked these
confirmations, select Done or
Save. You’ll receive a notification
confirming the dependant has
been added. - To set up their surgery and
exemptions, return to the Profile
tab, select the dependant, and
complete the required details.
Once a dependant has been added, adding and ordering medicines as well as scheduling
medicine reminders can be done by going to the Prescriptions tab, tapping their name at the top of the page and following the instructions above.
