NHS access will be limited and based on clinical need. You’ll need to meet the following criteria:

A Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or more,

AND

At least four of the following medical conditions:

• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol or high fat levels in the blood
• Obstructive sleep apnoea (difficulty breathing during sleep)
• Heart disease
• Type 2 diabetes

If you meet these criteria, you should speak to your GP who can guide you through the NHS referral process.
