Mounjaro® Weight Management Injection
How does the Smarta Healthcare Weight Management Clinic work?
Our weight management service is provided by a dedicated team of pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
During your initial consultation, we’ll take your measurements, check your BMI, and monitor your blood pressure.
We’ll also take the time to discuss your weight loss goals and medical history in detail.
If appropriate, we may offer weight loss medications as part of your personalised strategy, which may also include a nutrition plan, lifestyle changes and personal training programme where appropriate.
Every 4 weeks during treatment, we will check your overall health and monitor your progress.
If I'm suitable for Mounjaro®, what is the treatment schedule?
Mounjaro® is a convenient, once-weekly injection designed to support weight loss. Each pen contains four doses, allowing for gradual dose adjustments based on your progress and needs.
Mounjaro® offers flexibility in dosage to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
- You’ll start with a 2.5 mg dose, taken for at least 4 weeks.
- After that, you can increase to 5 mg for the next 4 weeks.
- You may continue to increase the dose every 4 weeks, with options to go up to 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg, and a maximum of 15 mg, depending on your preference and treatment plan.
