Hepatitis A is a viral infection that primarily affects the liver.

It's caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV) and is typically transmitted through the consumption of contaminated food or water, close-person contact, eating raw or undercooked shellfish and poor sanitation

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause acute as well as chronic diseases.

The virus is transmitted through contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person, commonly through activities such as unprotected sexual intercourse and sharing needles.

Both Hepatitis A & B can be found worldwide, however there are regions where the viruses are more common 

Hepatitis A is more prevalent in regions such as AsiaAfricaCentral and South America, and parts of Eastern Europe. 

Hepatitis B is more common in parts of AfricaSoutheast Asia, the Western Pacific, and Eastern Europe
