Women aged 16 up to and including 54 years of age are eligible for this NHS service.
You can use the service if:
- You’re starting the pill for the first time
- You’re starting the pill again after a break
- You’d like a supply of the pill already prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional
Please note: Your pharmacist will assess your eligibility using NHS guidelines during your consultation.
You don’t need a GP or sexual health clinic appointment to use the Smarta Healthcare Pharmacy Contraception Service, in fact you don’t even need to leave the house.
Simply book your consultation online or call us on 01234 831768. Our highly trained pharmacists are healthcare experts and will confidentially offer advice, understand which pill is best for you, answer questions you may have and provide instructions on taking the pill.
We can even arrange to have your pill supply delivered to your door.
The service is totally free.
Patients will be given either a Combined Oral Contraceptive (COC), or a Progestogen Only Pill (POP), depending on their individual circumstances.
